S'hail Shipping & Maritime Services ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the ShailShare mobile application and shareholder portal. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Shareholder Information

  • Personal Details: Full name (English and Arabic), Qatar ID (QID), email address, phone number
  • Account Information: Login credentials, account status, shareholding details
  • Trading Data: Share sale requests, purchase interests, transaction history, pricing information

1.2 Mobile App Data

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
  • Push Notification ID: OneSignal player ID for sending notifications
  • Login Activity: Login timestamps, device information, IP addresses
  • Network Status: Internet connectivity for offline detection

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Manage your shareholder account and verify your identity using Qatar ID
  • Process share sale and purchase transactions between shareholders
  • Send push notifications about trading opportunities, company announcements, and AGM/EGM meetings
  • Provide access to investor relations documents and company updates
  • Track login activity for security purposes
  • Maintain transaction history and share change records
  • Comply with Qatar commercial law and regulatory requirements

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as follows:

  • Between Shareholders: When you post a sale request or purchase interest, your contact information and trading details are visible to other approved shareholders
  • OneSignal: Push notification service provider receives your device token to deliver notifications
  • Company Administrators: Internal staff access shareholder data for account approval and transaction management
  • Legal Requirements: When required by Qatar law or regulatory authorities

4. Data Security

We protect your information using industry-standard security measures including encrypted passwords, secure HTTPS connections, and access controls. Login activities are monitored for suspicious behavior.

5. Your Rights

  • Access and update your profile information
  • Enable or disable email notifications
  • View your complete transaction history
  • Request account deletion directly from the Profile section in the app
  • Disable push notifications in your device settings

5.1 Account Deletion

You may request account deletion at any time from the Profile section of the app. If your account has no allocated shares, it will be deleted immediately. If you have shares allocated, a deletion request will be submitted to the administrator, who will contact you to complete the process in accordance with Qatar commercial law. Transaction history and share records may be retained as required by law even after account deletion.

6. Data Retention

We retain shareholder records and transaction history as required by Qatar commercial law. Login activity logs are maintained for security auditing purposes.
